BY FERRY

Ferries depart from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal (9 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON M5J 2H3) at the foot of Bay Street, on Queens Quay, behind the Westin Harbour Castle hotel. Take the Ward's Island ferry and follow Cibola Ave to the right. The Shaw House is located on your left, just past the Riviera and opposite the Algonquin Island bridge. The entrance is via the covered walkway off the path to your left that leads toward the lake (see the picture). It's approximately 5 to 7 minutes by foot.

bringing A VEHICLE

You can bring a vehicle to the Island with the permission of the ferry department. Please call ahead for rates and restrictions. Don't plan a tight schedule on the day you are bringing your vehicle over; you may have to queue for several boats.
